My Wishlist

A week or so ago, I won a "Wish Certificate" for 25% off a ToysRus purchase from the American Express My Wishlist holiday promotion. When I finally went to ToysRus last night to splurge on some much needed toys, I ended up buying only 2 things for a total of $22.98 for a whopping 25% savings of $5.75.

What I have really been wanting is one of the impossible to get 25% off Amazon.com coupons. After several valiant efforts, persistent clicking, and creative use of web browser frames in an attempt to increase my chances, I finally had a breakthrough today. At 2pm today, another set of Amazon certificates was up for grabs. Unfortunately, I also had a conference call beginning at the same time, but I decided to multitask and try my luck in just two Windows so I could still actively participate in the call. Even though I managed to click the stupid "I want it" button precisely at 2pm, I immediately received a message letting me know that I missed it and to come back at 6pm for something else. Just for the heck of it, I kept clicking after receiving the message, sometimes receiving the "Missed it" message while other times getting the dreaded "Sorry, due to high demand, the site is currently at maximum capacity. Please try again..."

Although I figured all hope was lost, I kept clicking to keep me entertained during my call and somehow, nearly 15 minutes later, I actually got one. Yes, I am the proud owner of an Amazon.com 25% off certificate (at least I will be once it is delivered).

Now what should I buy...?
