Potato Peeling

And here I've been wasting my time peeling potatoes the old-fashioned way. Amazing...

I personally use the first "picking" technique they show in the video, but obviously I have a lot to learn...

Have you actually tried this peeling method??

No, haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I've been eagerly awaiting my opportunity to buy a stash of potatoes.

This trick works for peeling hard boiled eggs too, but you have to leave the eggs in longer than 10 seconds (as mentioned in the potato video). Not so good if you want a hot boiled egg for breakfast, but works well if you are preparing potato salad (in which case you can use this trick for both the potatoes AND the eggs ... nice).

Memorial Day Weekend 2006. I made potato salad. I tried this potato peeling trick, but it didn't work. What a bummer. I had to peel potatoes the old fashioned way; however, this trick still worked for the hard boiled eggs I put into the salad =).

Thanks for the feedback...although that's a bummer to hear about your potatoes :-)
